WHO WE ARE
We serve Tucson at our Eastside dispensary location, as well as our Downtown Tucson location, formerly known as The Downtown Dispensary. D2 Eastside is home to Tucson’s only Drive Thru Dispensary.
At D2 Dispensaries, we believe in pushing boundaries – we’re not satisfied being just another dispensary. Whether we’re developing new products or finding ways to improve our customer experience, we’re never done innovating. Because we run our own cultivation site and extraction lab, we can take feedback from the community and put it into action. We’ve been voted Best Dispensary in Tucson five times, including most recently in 2023.
Our company grew from the Tucson community itself, founded and operated by a first-generation immigrant and a veteran. We are proud to employ over 200 people in Tucson. Every year, we commit a portion of our proceeds toward patient programs and other nonprofit organizations in the Tucson community.
OUR LOCAL ROOTS
In 2013 we opened the doors to Tucson with our first dispensary, The Downtown Dispensary, located in the historic stone cypher building (built in 1916!). For the last decade we’ve been working hard to serve our community by educating Tucson on the benefits of medical cannabis and working to end the stigma attached to it.
In 2017 we expanded our efforts to the Eastside with our sister location, D2 Dispensary! We continued to grow over the years, cultivating our own flower and developing products under the iLAVA name based on community needs and feedback.
In 2020, when recreational cannabis became legal in Arizona, our community grew faster than ever before! Within two years we outgrew the original D2 building and moved to a much larger space, complete with a Drive Thru and an immersive new lobby experience.
Now, in 2024, we’re putting it all together. The Downtown Dispensary is led by the same great team, now under one unified name: D2 Dispensaries. It just made sense to bring everything together, because behind the scenes we’ve always been one team! D2 is a homegrown Tucson business that strives to strengthen our local community and make cannabis less stigmatized, because cannabis truly brings us together.
